In 2023 we will have the PSVR 2, which is the VR headset for PS5. We found that some VR games have been officially announced for PSVR 2, but there are no confirmed Sony launch titles for the VR headset yet.
The PlayStation VR 2 headset, or PSVR 2, will only be compatible with the PS5 console, and will have new PlayStation VR 2 Sense controllers, which feature internal/external tracking that is similar to Oculus Touch controllers. The PSVR 2 is said to be designed to have a better VR experience, however PlayStation SVP Hideaki Nishino says that the PSVR 2 will not be backwards compatible with PSVR titles. Also, according to him “developing games for PSVR2 requires a whole different approach than the original PSVR.”
