WhatsApp, one of the world’s most popular instant messaging apps, recently announced a new feature that will allow users to fix up to three messages in a chat. This new option will provide easy access to important messages, making it easier to see relevant information within a conversation. Until now, users could only fix one message at the top of a conversation with a contact or group.
How to fix messages in a chat
To fix a message, simply hold down on it and select the “Fix” option from the menu that appears. You can fix all types of messages, including text, pictures and polls. This feature will be especially useful for quickly getting information such as a friend’s address or the location of a planned outing with a group.
In addition, users will be able to set a duration for the scheduled message. The available options are 24 hours, 7 days (default choice) and 30 days. This option will help to get rid of the fixed messages when the information becomes irrelevant after a certain period of time.
However, it should be noted that there is no option to keep a message fixed indefinitely, such as an address. Therefore, if you want to keep a message fixed permanently, the only way will be to “Report it” and access it via the contact information menu.
Further improvements to WhatsApp functionality.
In addition to the ability to fix messages, WhatsApp has recently introduced other new features to improve the user experience. For example, messages can now be formatted using bulleted lists, quote blocks, and inline code. This will allow users to better organize their messages and make them more readable.
In addition, WhatsApp also announced that it is working on additional new features, including the ability to make group calls and video calls with up to 8 participants. This feature will be especially useful for business meetings or group calls with friends and family.
