Just like it happens on many social media, also Google has decided to launch the new trend of emoji reactions on Google Docs, among the many features it already presents. The emoji reaction provides an informal tone, according to Google, to comments shared about the content of a document. Every day users rely on Google Docs to interact with colleagues, and now they can post comments in text form but also share a thought through emoji. Emoji colors and personalizes digital content, conveys the mood or user feedback effortlessly.
This new feature appears when you highlight text in a document in edit mode. The first thing to do is to open a document of Google Docs on your computer. Click the text you want to react to, and you can tap on the icon “Add emoji reaction” on the right-side of the screen. Then go to “Insert” and click “Emoji reaction”. Finally choose which emoji you want to use to let people know how you feel.
What is Google Docs?
Google Docs recently celebrated its 15th birthday. Google Docs is a project that Google has pulled up and that allows users who create an account, starting from Gmail, to write and edit documents online and collaborate with other users in real time. It’s a suite of office programs in the Google Drive cloud space. It’s all free, but there’s also a paid version.
Google Docs allows you to write documents, to use Sheets, Presentations, Drawings and Forms, which are used to create content; it also allows you to create charts. In addition, with plug-ins you can also add new features, such as the program to create mind maps. You can reach all of this from your email address or with the Google Docs app, available for iPhone, Android, and other operating systems.
