Interview with Filippo Galanti, Divinea co-founder, a technological enterprise with the aim of helping wineries with their customers.

What’s Divinea.com?
Divinea.com is a platform that creates a meeting point between wine producers and fans, thanks to unique and authentic experiences. On one side, there are the cellars, on the other one the people who want to live unforgettable days and experiences inside them. How does it work?
The platform involves the best Italian wineries, giving back their voice and value in order to let people discover their activities and their products. Interested users can choose, according to their tastes, experiences created by the wineries and easily book visits quickly.
Users can filter experiences by region, date, route type, and mood. The filter “type of path” is definitely among the most functional, the user can in fact search the experiences according to what interests him most:
– online routes
– live events
-tasting
– tastings with an overnight stay
– exclusive visits
Very interesting is also the “Mood ” filter, the user can in fact choose routes depending on the type of trip he intends to make: family, sport & adventure, young & fun, romantic choice, relaxation & wellness, and so on.
Wine suite
The two founders, listening to the needs of the market, created Wine Suite, the Software that helps wineries digitize direct-to-consumer sales. In fact, in 2021 the business project evolved with the creation of a Software at the service of the customer experience of the wineries.
Thanks to Wine Suite the wineries find help to automate the management of the visits in the cellar and to improve in a simple and intuitive way the welcome of guests, wine sales online and those in the cellar with targeted marketing operations. A tool that, by leveraging customer interaction and analyzing their interests, offers the opportunity to increase sales conversion and improve shopping experiences. Since the beginning of 2021 it has been chosen by more than 100 wineries that have immediately gained:
– a saving in working hours thanks to the automation of the management processes of wine tours.
– an increase in sales due to targeted marketing activity.

Hello Filippo, how and when was the idea of Divinea born?
Divinea is a technological company founded by me and Matteo Ranghetti and is born from two of our great passions: technology and wine. After some experiences abroad we realized that Italy, despite being the first wine producer in the world, turns out to be far behind digitally and in sales to individuals compared to countries such as France or areas such as Napa Valley. So we decided that our goal would be to help Italian wineries to communicate in a simple and effective way with their customers through the promotion of wine tourism activities and the sale of wine.
In less than a year we have created the main marketplace of wine tourism experiences in Italy called Divinea.com and that has allowed us to connect more than 400 wineries with thousands of fans of the world of wine. With the beginning of 2021, also accelerated by the situation that has been generated by the pandemic, the project has evolved and entered a second phase thanks to the launch on the market of Wine Suite, the Software that digitizes the customer experience of wineries and helps them increase “direct to consumer” sales.
How long did it take to shape the project? And in this regard, what is Smart Tasting?
The entrepreneurial project of Divinea started in 2019 and shortly after the launch of the startup c Covid – 19 pandemic happened. That in fact prevented consumers from taking advantage of the wine tastings in the cellar present on our portal Divinea.com because of the lockdown. For this reason, we have created a new format, which we have called “Smart Tasting”, the guided video tasting experience with the producer of the winery that brings the tasting in the homes of consumers.
The process to live this experience is very simple. Just go on Divinea.com, choose the date on which to make the video call with the manufacturer, set the desired language and time, and finally specify the address to which to deliver the bottles.
Tell us about the Wine Suite Software, what is it and how is it helping wineries digitize their sales?
Wine Suite is the Software that digitizes the customer experience of wineries and allows to increase wine sales directly to the consumer. It is a tool that exploits the potential of data driven marketing and allows you to manage the relationship with your customers at 360 degrees. The solution consists of 3 parts: wine tourism, sales, and marketing, all manageable with a single tool. In this way, the wineries manage the visits to the cellar, the wine sales collect data and retain customers while saving time.
In recent years there have been more and more initiatives that promote wine and its producers. How important is it to constantly create new connections, to enhance what is still in fact an Italian excellence today?
Wine is one of the Made In Italy excellence and thanks to the growing phenomenon of wine tourism more and more enthusiasts and curious are approaching this world. We believe very much in connections, relationships, and the importance of creating synergies to generate value. In this regard we can anticipate that soon we will start a collaboration with an important player in the world of wine that we look forward to unveiling.
What about future plans?
The company is in a great expansion phase and at this time we have decided to invest in Wine Suite, since the cellars particularly need it. In the coming weeks will release new features and formalize some collaborations with other technology companies in the world of wine.
What is your motivation? What drives the company to do better and better what it does?
Being aware of the gap between Italy and other countries such as France in terms of technology, we are stimulated every day in trying to digitize the world of Italian wine to make it increasingly accessible. We strongly believe in the project and try to seize opportunities and create solutions to enhance the Italian wine heritage.
