If you have decided to subscribe to Disney Plus and you want to use your computer to enjoy contents of the platform, without having to access the browser every time and type in the address of the site in question, then you are reading the right article. In the next few lines I will explain how to get a quick link to Disney Plus on Windows and Mac computers, via some apps and procedures.

First, in order to use the service, you must have activated a subscription plan, which includes watching on demand and downloading a lot of cartoons, movies and TV series from the worlds Disney, Pixar, Star, Marvel, Star Wars and NatGeo. The subscription costs €8.99 per month or €89.90 per year. It also has no renewal obligations, because it can be cancelled at any time, via the web page of your personal profile on DisneyPlus.

How to install Disney Plus on Windows 10 PC:

To date, there is no official Disney+ application for Windows, but you can use Microsoft Edge in its latest version based on the Chromium engine, which allows you to turn a web application (for example the Disney Plus site) into an app for Windows 10, integrated with the operating system.

So start by installing the latest version of Microsoft Edge: connect to the browser homepage and click the Download button for Windows 10, so you can start the download. Once you get the installation file, you can launch it and press the Yes button.

Once the installation is complete, the browser screen will open. Then, with Microsoft Edge, connect to the DisneyPlus site and login, using your credentials. After that, you have to answer in affirmative to the password store request, click on the button with the three dots located at the top right of Edge and select App and Install site as app from the menu. Now, name the newly link created and click the Install button to add it to the Start menu. You can also drag this last icon to your desktop, so you have quick access to the newly app created.

How to install Disney Plus on Windows PC or Mac:

If you have a version other than Windows 10 or you have a Mac, you can create a link to Disney Plus on the desktop of your PC with the browsers of your choice, but this link is not functional and integrated into the operating system. If you want a more interesting and certainly complete solution, you can opt for BlueStacks that is free and compatible with both Windows and macOS. This software allows you to create a virtual environment through which you can download and install applications, as if we were in front of a smartphone equipped with the Google operating system.

To download the emulator, connect to its website and click on Download BlueStacks. Now wait for the downloading of the program file to your computer. At the end of the download, if you are using Windows, you can start the package .exe just downloaded and complete the installation of the program by clicking on “Yes” and “Install”.

Instead, if you are using a Mac, you need to open the file .dmg you have downloaded and click twice on the BlueStacks icon located in the screen window. Then click Open and Install Now and once you have entered your Mac password, click the Install Assistant button. To complete the installation you have to enable system extensions: press Open Security and Open Security & Privacy preferences, click on the padlock at the bottom left of the window that appears, type in the Mac password and click on the Allow button, at the corresponding entry “System software loading has been blocked by developer “BlueStack Systems Inc”.

Once this installation is complete, you will need to follow the next steps that are identical for each operating system. When you start it, sign in with your Google account to set up the Play Store and Play Services. After this step, the Play Store screen should appear: in the search bar at the top type Disney Plus and click Install, to install the app in the virtual environment.

After completing these steps, you will need to click on Home at the top of the BlueStacks screen and select the Disney+ icon to launch the application. Log in by entering the email address and password associated with your Disney+ profile.

Well, now you can use the app just like you would do it on any smartphone or tablet.
