1) Among the Trolls

Release date: 2022

Among the Trolls is a first-person action-adventure survival game by Forbidden Studios that will take you to a magic forest inhabited by mythological creatures typical of Finnish folklore.

While you’re trying to survive in this sometimes hostile environment, your main mission is finding your lost grandparents, who mysteriously disappeared.

In this setting, which is a mixture of realism and supernatural, you’ll need to build your own campsite to survive in the wilderness. Along the way you’ll encounter various creatures, some friendly and helpful, some other dangerous and mischevious. The exploration of the forest is another important point: there will be many secondary quests to complete, a huge map to explore, lots of abilities to achieve and items to craft.

2) Miasma Chronicles

Release date: 2023

Miasma Chronicles is a tactical adventure by The Bearded Ladies Consulting, the creators of Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden.

All we know about the game is that it is centered around two brothers, who embark on a quest across a dark, post-apocalyptic wasteland devastated by the “Miasma”. The protagonists face a mortal danger in hopes of finding their vanished mother.

3) Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising / Hundred Heroes

Release date: May 10 2022 / 2023

Another interesting appearance at the showcase was Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, “companion” game to the awaited sequel Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, that was also featured.

These action RPGs by Rabbit & Bear have a very distinct look thanks to the 2.5D graphics. But another appreciated feature of the successful Eiyuden saga is the possibility of using 3 characters to create ever-changing combos during a battle, which makes the experience much more dynamic and fun.

While Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is already out and playable, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes will be released in 2023. And once you’ll get your hands on the sequel, you’ll be able to transfer your items from the first game.

4) Stray Blade

Release date: 2023

Point Blank Games presents its next project, Stray Blade, an action RPG centered around an explorer who dies upon discovering a mysterious hidden land, the Valley of Acrea.

And that’s exactly where your adventure begins. Once you’ve come back to life, you’ll have to find a way back home. A strange creature, Boji, will be by your side throughout this endeavor, and with its help you’ll manage to discover countless secrets and unlock your fighting skills.

Perfectioning these skills is probably the main point of the game. The hyper-responsive combat system is a dream for those players who love engaging in challenging and dynamic battles in which combining weapons and abilities is key. Lastly, you’ll also be able to modify your build in any moment.
