How to edit a photo’s date

How to edit a photo’s date on Adroid
Within Android devices has the ability to edit the date of a photo or video directly from your device’s gallery. Here are the steps to follow:
- First open your phone’s gallery and the photo/video you want to edit
- Now tap on the three dots in the bottom right corner
- Tap on Details
- Press Edit in the upper right corner
- Tap on the date on which the photo was taken
You now have the option to edit in addition to the date, the time of the photo/video in question. After you have finished, press Done. Once you have made your edits, tap on Details again and you will see the original time and date.
How to edit a photo’s date on iPhone
Even with iPhone, it is possible to edit the date and time of a photo directly within the phone’s gallery. Here’s how:
- First open your phone’s gallery and the photo/video you want to edit
- Now tap on the circled i icon
- Now tap on Adjust
- To edit the date, go to the calendar and choose the day you are interested in
- Tap on Time to edit a new time
- To complete all edits tap on Adjust
As with Android, you have the option on iPhone to see the original date of the photo. Open again the photo you have edited, following the steps from before after pressing adjust you will be able to see the Original item. Inside you can see the original date and time of the photo.
How to edit a photo’s date on Google Photos
You also have the option of editing the date and time on Google Photos. To be able to do this follow these steps:
- Open the Google Photos app and click the image you want to edit
- Click on the three dots in the upper right corner
- Press the pencil icon and edit the details of the image
You can also edit the date and time of a photo by logging on to photos.google.com. Once open place your cursor over the photo you are interested in, press More at the top right, and finally, click Edit Date and Time.
