Meet Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro

October 16, 2022
We can finally welcome Google’s new smartphones. The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro come with the latest technology, with a next-generation Google Tensor G2 processor and of course the latest version of Android 13.
In addition, the company stated that these phones are at the center of its ever-expanding hardware portfolio that also includes a watch, tablet and headset. And needless to say, all of these devices feature the intelligence you expect from Google and work together to help you.
Sleekest design yet
These two new models are sleek, sophisticated, and durable, as well as eco-friendly, as their aluminum casing is made with 100% recycled content. This time around, the Pixel 7 is much more compact than the Pixel 6, as it features a 6.3-inch display and smaller bezels as it packs more features and enhancements into a smaller profile.
Its new zirconia polished aluminum gives a much silkier feel to the touch and is available in three colors to suit your personal style: Snow, Obsidian, and the new Lemongrass.
As for the Pixel 7 Pro, it has a much more immersive 6.7-inch display, a beautiful polished aluminum frame, and a camera bar that perfectly complements the three color options: snow, obsidian, and a new hazelnut color.
Android 13 on Pixel 7
The Android 13 version on Pixel 7 gives you the best experience yet as it is fast, smart and secure. On the other hand, the fresh new style and customization capabilities make it feel unique to you and you also have the ability to recolor the look of your app icons to match the aesthetics of your phone’s wallpaper and even assign specific languages to individual apps.
An even better camera (if that’s even possible)
Google really went all out in making and improving the photography experience, so welcome to the best way to take pictures on a Pixel phone yet. If you want to know all the details about the new features that google brings for the camera of its new Pixels, you can read it here.
Smarts and speech
Google’s smarts and intelligence is a big part of what makes a Pixel, a Pixel, and Pixel 7 is no different. So, with Google Tensor G2, almost all of the chip’s major subsystems have been upgraded and in this new update have been designed to work very well together to handle the complex and nuanced nature of Google’s software and machine learning.
For this reason, don’t be surprised if you notice improvements in your phone with respect to speech and language recognition, as it is now even smarter than in previous versions.
For example, it can be frustrating when you call a company and have to memorize all the options for the extension you need, which is why we launched Direct My Call last year. This feature was enhanced with Pixel 7 for many of the most visited companies, now you can see a list of menu options before they are said, so you can cancel that flight or file an insurance claim even faster.
Regarding messaging, it will be much more fun, as you now have the Voice Assistant that automatically suggests emojis that are relevant to your messages. You can also search for emojis with your voice. Don’t worry if you don’t know the name of the emoji you are looking for. It is forgiving, so “hey emoji” 👋, “winky emoji” 😜 or “LOL emoji” 😂, for example, will work fine.
And what’s even better is that the Assistant’s voice dictation is now available in French, Italian and Spanish, in addition to English, German and Japanese, amazing isn’t it?
But let’s talk about voice messages. They’re great, but you’re not always in a good place to record or listen to one, so with Pixel 7’s technology you’ll be able to transcribe voice messages in the Google Messages app so you can read them as soon as you receive them.
Safe and secure with 7
As always, your personal information is protected with Pixel, but now with Google Tensor G2 and the Titan M2 security chip, Pixel is designed with multiple layers of security to help keep you even safer and more secure.
Now, Titan M2 makes your phone more resistant to sophisticated attacks and later this year, both models will get Google One VPN at no additional cost, so your online activity is protected no matter what app or web browser you use.
Finally, we have the fast and secure under-screen fingerprint reader on Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro that makes unlocking your phone a breeze and these new versions include Face Unlock thanks to advanced machine learning models for facial recognition, so you can quickly access what you need with just a glance.
Get yours
Beginning October 13, both models will be available through all major US carriers. You can get the Pixel 7 starting at $599 and the Pixel 7 Pro starting at $899. If you want to know what other countries and regions you can find it in, you can see the list here, although Google mentioned that they are excited to expand Pixel to Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden for the first time.
