Twitter’s New Logo Has a New Doggy Face

The well-known logo of the social network, a small blue bird, was changed without warning for a new one: a dog well-known to Internet users. It was a joke by Elon Musk.

In a video posted on YouTube, the social network announced the new design of its logo. This is the third time they have changed this well-known image. The new design is more tilted upwards. It also no longer has the feathers on its head.

“Our new logo was born out of a love of ornithology, design within creative constraints, and simple geometry”

wrote Doug Bowman, Twitter’s creative director, in a post.

The dog responds to an originally popular meme that was born from two photos of a Hong Kong Shiba Inu. Who has his own Instagram account called @balltze. Soon, two of his beautiful faces were used in so-called Cheems. And more generally, “strong dogs and weak dogs,” which ironically contrasted the two opposing situations.

He also shared a photo in which the dog appears while being asked for his identification document and showing the image of the former Twitter logo.
