Create a PayPal Account in India with just a few Clicks

Stick with us to find out how to set up a PayPal account as an Indian citizen.
PayPal is one of the best services around when it comes to receiving and sending money safely and immediately all over the globe. The service – which consists of an online bank – is the go-to choice for many companies because paying employees by using PayPal is very safe: PayPal’s website is secure and encrypted, and as long as you have a secure connection to the legitimate PayPal site, any information you exchange is hidden from prying eyes.
You yourself can trust PayPal if you have an online business and desire to sell your products. PayPal acts as a middleman for payments between two parties with registered accounts, in this case you and your customer. It’s fast and easy to send payments to an individual or retailer without sharing personal details or banking information. All you need to know is the email address of the person you’re sending money to.
PayPal payments are accepted by many companies and online shopping platforms, such as eBay, Airbnb, Nike, Emirates, just to name a few.
Open and verify a PayPal account
Before you set up your PayPal account, you need to have these two things:
– a PAN card
– an existing bank account
If you don’t have a bank account but create a PayPal account anyway, the latter will be considered unverified until bank details aren’t added to it; an unverified account is limited in sending and receiving money.
For starters, go to the PayPal India website and click on Sign Up for Free.
Now you’ll have to choose between an individual account or a business account, then click Next.
Enter your email address and create a strong password (we recommend to only use it on this website for max security)
Follow the instructions, then click Agree and Create Account.
You’ll then be asked to link your credit card or debit card to your PayPal account to shop more safely.
Once you do that, your PayPal account will be enabled!
If you go to your Home page, you’ll see that PayPal wants you to Confirm your mobile phone, Confirm your email and Add a bank account.
If you want to make your account more secure, then you’ll have to confirm your phone number and email.
Linking a bank account to your PayPal will also guarantee higher security while you get paid and withdraw the money.
To complete the verification process of your PayPal account you’ll have to enter:
– proof of identity (enter PAN card)
– proof of address
– proof of Bank
– Purpose Code
– your Bank information
The website will tell you to wait 2-3 business days, after which an email will be sent to you saying that you’re now able to receive payments no problem into your PayPal account.
Finally, your PayPal account is enabled and well-functioning!
