The 5 Most Common Fitbit Mistakes: Here’s what you should do

This happens more often than you think, especially when you consider how often you use your exercise equipment every day. If you own a Fitbit device, and I’m sure many of you do, you may have encountered a problem or two during the lifetime of your device. 1. It does not synchronize with the phone.

It is very common to see that some technology devices have this problem: they go forward, go backward, and freeze when their life has come to an end. If you just bought it and this happens, it is also possible that your phone is not fully compatible. 1. Silent Alarm

Most Fitbit devices can wake you up in the morning with silent alarms. If your silent alarms are not working, unfortunately, there are not many options. You will need to check your Fitbit’s vibration motor by following the steps below. If that doesn’t work, Fitbit recommends you contact Customer Care.

2. Problems with a quick view and heart rate detection

Many Fitbit devices have Quick View, which allows you to simply raise your wrist to activate the screen. Some of these devices, such as Alta, Charge 2, and Charge HR, also have touchscreens, so you can’t scroll through menus like you can with a regular touchscreen device. Instead, you must tap near or on the screen to scroll through your daily stats.

Unfortunately, many Fitbit users report problems with the quick view and touch detection, which makes the response too slow. If you’re in that boat, you can find the answer in the settings menu of your Fitbit app.

3. Fitbit cannot receive notifications from an Android device.

Sometimes Fitbit trackers do not receive notifications from Android devices. If this happens to you, you may need to reset your fitness tracker or alter your phone’s Bluetooth settings.

• Make sure there are no other Bluetooth devices connected to your smartphone. This can cause interference that prevents notifications from appearing on your Fitbit tracker.
• If you are receiving delayed notifications on your Fitbit, your Bluetooth connection may be unstable. In the Fitbit app, select your profile picture, select your tracking, then voice and text notifications, and make sure the Enable Notifications widget is enabled.
• Fitbit Surge users: swipe down to Settings and make sure notifications are enabled.
• Fitbit Blaze users: press and hold the top right button for a few seconds and make sure notifications are enabled.
• Make sure your smartphone is not in Do Not Disturb mode. You may need to close the Fitbit app.

• Try turning Bluetooth off and on again.

• Bluetooth and turn Bluetooth off and on.

• Try restarting your mobile device. If all else fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Fitbit app.

4. The band breaks up

Fitbit devices are fairly advanced technology, but they are certainly not invincible. If your Fitbit band starts to break, you should use the company’s warranty policy. If you have a Fitbit Charge 4, Versa 2, Versa Lite, Charge 3, Versa, Ionic, Ace, Alta HR, Alta, Blaze, Charge 2, or Flex 2 and it’s out of warranty, you can buy it new band without replacing the entire device. If you have an older tracker such as Charge HR, Surge, or Flex, you will need to replace it by following the steps below.
