Windows 11 and New AI Experience

December 9, 2022
In recent times, modern laptops with powerful performance, neural processing and industry-leading efficiency have been advancing and transforming modern laptops with Snapdragon, Qualcomm Technologies and Microsoft are making this possible by advancing Artificial Intelligence capabilities and computers.
In 2022 Qualcomm Technologies mentioned at Snapdragon Summit 2022 the technology that will unlock a new generation of AR glasses and its vision to further advance mobile computing.
Snapdragon
The collaboration seen in Snapdragon has led to new AI-accelerated experiences for users using Windows 11, including Windows Studio effects like Voice Focus, Background Blur, Automatic Framing, and Eye Contact, and these Features were highlighted at the launch of the Surface Pro 9 5G, along with Microsoft SQ3 powered by Snapdragon.
Likewise, Snapdragon allows you to intelligently offload these compute-intensive tasks directly to a dedicated AI engine, thus freeing up the CPU and GPU, in order to achieve better performance and much more energy efficiency, which sets it apart from legacy x86-based solutions.
Windows Dev Kit 2023
Using technology from the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 computing platform, the Windows Dev Kit 2023 makes it easier for developers to take advantage of the advanced AI capabilities found in the platform for the best Windows user experiences, be it with a game, a creative app or even a productivity tool. With enhanced AI experiences in slim, fanless products, Snapdragon is also driving the PC industry to modernize.
Adobe
For the creation of Creative Suite Adobe used the kit, this Creative Suite uses AI processing capabilities that are dedicated to have more personalized and intuitive experiences that are combined with Adobe Sensei. In addition, it was announced that more key Adobe Creative Cloud apps will be native to PC in 2023 using Windows 11 and powered by Snapdragon Compute.
Highlights:
- Including Microsoft and Adobe, PC ecosystem leaders and enterprise leader Citi join the Snapdragon Summit to highlight how Snapdragon and AI enrich consumer and business experiences.
- Snapdragon® computing platforms lead the way in AI-accelerated capabilities.
Snapdragon AR2
The Snapdragon AR2 Gen 1 platform, ushering in a new era of spatial computing experiences and achieving real world/metaverse blending; and that Qualcomm Technologies built from the ground up for glasses that can be worn comfortably for long periods of time to meet the demands of both consumers and businesses in need.
In the same way, the Snapdragon AR2 uses a multi-chip architecture which includes an AR processor, as well as a connectivity platform, which allows for better weight balance and weight and decreases the width of the arms on both sides of the glasses and which makes it be as thin as possible, it also has an AR coprocessor.
Among other advantages that can be found of the AR processor, is that some improved perception capabilities are included, for example a hardware acceleration engine that is dedicated to improving tracking, as well as the location of the user’s movement.
We also find the AR coprocessor which aggregates data from the camera and sensor, and which also enables eye tracking and iris authentication, in order to optimize workloads only where the user is looking, as well as It helps to reduce energy consumption.
Highlights:
- Some stages of development with OEMs that are on Snapdragon AR2, include Lenovo, LG, Nreal, OPPO, Pico, QONOQ, Rokid, Sharp, TCL, Vuzix, and Xiaomi.
- Its multi-chip architecture achieves 50% lower power consumption as well as 2.5 times better AI performance, which makes AR glasses more elegant and high-performance.
- An augmented reality platform designed as part of its extended reality portfolio is presented.
