What is Shopify?
Shopify is an e-commerce platform where businesses and individuals can create their own online stores to sell their products. The cloud-based solution, which is sold as a service, also offers tons of tools and resources for e-commerce owners, from a free business name and logo generator to marketing solutions and stock photography.
Finally, it’s worth noting that Shopify allows you to create your own inventory-free store by shipping directly through Oberlo and you simply decide what products to offer in your online store and place an order every time you sell something.
Shopify works like a marketplace
In April 2020, Shopify announced the launch of the Store. With Shopify, users can keep track of their inventory, but it also allows them to view a menu of recommended products, learn about new brands, and shop within the app.
Stores can integrate Shop Pay, which allows customers to pay with a single click, thereby enhancing the customer experience and attracting potential customers. In the Shopping Cart, customers can find a personalized shopping cart that shows the variety of products, special offers and new products they can find. This program is supported by the customer’s purchase history and the brands they follow in the Store. The store also shows whether the online store is close to the user and whether it offers in-store pickup. This way, customers can find local businesses if they don’t want to wait for packages to be delivered.
