New Pokémon Horizons Trailer

The original Pokémon anime with Ash and Pikachu came to an end, but The Pokémon Company took the opportunity to broadcast the trailer for Pokémon Horizons, the new series played by Liko and Roy, and we will tell you what is known. The series follows Liko (with her pokémon Sprigatito) and Roy who embark on an entirely new journey for the franchise, and even though Ash retires, we get to see Captain Pikachu. The new series promises to be a journey of discoveries from across the Pokémon world.

What is Pokémon Horizons about and when is it released? According to Taito Okiura, vice president of marketing, the new trailer exposes more information about the mysterious adventures that await the new protagonists:

“We invite all the trainers to unite with ourselves to decipher all these secrets once the series begins its premiere out of Japan later this year.”

Pokémon Horizons will premiere in Japan on April 14, 2023 through the Tokyo TV channel, but it is expected to reach the rest of the world this same 2023.

Synopsis

The official synopsis of the anime notes:

“The new series will have as featured Pokémon the first companions of Paldea, Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly, protagonists of the video games ‘Pokémon Scarlet’ and ‘Pokémon Purple’, as well as the legendary Pokémon Rayquaza in its shiny form. Fans They will be able to find the mysteries of the entire Pokémon world, enjoying exciting battles between Trainers and fun encounters with other Pokémon.”

In this tiny development of less than a minute long we have the chance to see various moments and key characters, such as Captain Pikachu, and even the appearance of a Teracrystallized Shiny/Variocolor Rayquaza (a new game mechanic destroyed in Scarlet and Purple), which is why fans of the saga are already speculating on social networks that they could come to the game soon as part of one of the new Teraincursions. The synopsis of the series according to a press release is as follows:

“In the Pokémon Horizons series, both protagonists, Liko, along with his Pokémon Sprigatito, and Rod, will meet various characters throughout their adventures, integrated into a group directed by Friede and Captain Pikachu dubbed the Electric Tackle Aeronauts. This group, which travels around the Pokémon planet in an airship, has as members Oria, who enjoys mechanical and electrical work and is in the company of her Pokémon Metagross; Murdock, a skilled cook alongside his Pokémon Rockruff; Mollie, a healing specialist with her Pokémon Chansey; and Landon. Liko and Rod will also meet Amethio and her Pokémon, Ceruledge, who belong to an organization called the Explorers, as well as a well-known streamer known as Nidotina.”
