Specifically, as reported by TechCrunch, subscribers will be able to choose the size of the letters between small, medium, and large. They will also be able to choose the styles and colors in which the subtitles will appear. Netflix offers the default white text option but also includes white text with a black background, black text with white background, and yellow text with a black background.

How to set up closed captions on Netflix?

To set up closed captions, just access them in the usual way:

1. Go to the Netflix Account page.
2. Select a profile in the Profiles and Parental Controls section.
3. Select Change under Subtitle Appearance.
4. Choose your subtitle appearance options.
5. Select Save.
6. This new feature is now available to all users globally. This facilitates the possibility of improving and adapting the display of subtitles according to the preferences of each user, which is useful, for example, in the case of visually impaired subscribers.

For mobile devices, closed captioning settings also affect downloaded content viewed offline. 1. Launch the Netflix application.
2. Select a series or movie.
3. While a series or movie is playing, tap anywhere on the screen.

IOS Phones

1. Select Settings from the home screen of your device.
2. Select General.
3. Select Accessibility.
4. Select Captions.
5. Use the slider to enable captions for and hearing impaired.
6. In the Style section of this screen, you can configure how captions are displayed; if you choose to create a new style, make sure General Video is disabled in the Font, Size, Color, and Opacity settings.
