How to Delete your Instagram Saved Posts Explained

While you’re scrolling through your Instagram feed it’s very likely for you to find very interesting posts. The photo/video sharing social media platform is, in fact, a source of infinite content that appeals to all kinds of people. You can find pictures and videos related to pretty much any theme, hobby, talent, art form, etc. on Instagram. This is one of the reasons why the app became so incredibly popular, with over 1 billion monthly users; by taking into consideration such a number, just try to imagine how many posts are made every single day!
If you want to go back to a post you particularly liked, know that you can save said post and revisit it later, because the post will be added to your Saved list. Saving posts will save you a lot of time, since you won’t need to go through the hassle of visiting the profile where the post was published to look at it every time. You can also create a Collection made of a series of saved posts: for example, if you saved a couple of photos about kittens, you might want to create a “Kitten” Collection to keep those similar pictures in the same place. This will make it easier to find them!
But what if you wanted to remove a saved post? Maybe the pictures or videos you added to your Saved list are of no interest to you anymore, so you’d rather get rid of them. Well, that is entirely possible, and in this article we’re going to explain how it’s done. Don’t worry, it will literally take you a few seconds!
Add a post to your Instagram Saved list
Before we get into how to remove a post from your Saved list, let’s see how to save a post, shall we?
– first, open the Instagram app on your mobile device
– log into your account
– find the post you want to save, and tap the Saved icon
– done!
Remove posts from your Instagram Saved list
Follow the steps below to delete a saved post:
– first, open the Instagram app on your mobile device
– log into your account
– tap your profile picture at the bottom right of the screen
– once you’re in, tap the Menu icon at the top right
– now tap Saved
– here, you’ll see all of your Saved posts
– choose the post you want to delete
– then tap the three dots icon at the top right
– now tap Select…
– select the post, and tap “Remove from saved”
– the post will be successfully removed!
Delete a Collection from your Instagram Saved list
You can delete whole post Collections, as well. To do so, follow the steps below:
– first, open the Instagram app on your mobile device
– log into your account
– tap your profile picture at the bottom right of the screen
– once you’re in, tap the Menu icon at the top right
– now tap Saved
– here, you’ll see all of your Saved posts
– choose the Collection you want to remove
– then tap the three dots icon at the top right
– now select Edit Collection
– tap “Delete Collection”
– the Collection will be successfully removed!
